For those who work and live in Downtown Colorado Springs, Ola is one of the most convenient spots to get your health food fix. The inviting downtown shop offers fresh juices, shots, smoothies and nutrient rich food like power bowls, granola, soups, and more. Their menu is plant-based, mostly organic, gluten-free and raw. They also aim to reduce their environmental impact by using local Colorado produce as often as possible, recycling and composting, and opting for compostable to-go items, instead of plastic. So whether you need a quick lunch during your workday, a recovery meal after a challenging hike, or just a really great smoothie to make you smile, Ola’s got you covered!

2. Natural Epicurean

This Broadmoor Hotel cafe has perfectly combined class and healthy eating. At Natural Epicurean, you’ll enjoy a nourishing meal paired with one of the best views in Colorado Springs. From cold pressed juice to sustainably raised meat and fish entrées, Natural Epicurean has options for vegans, vegetarians, gluten-free-ers, and carnivores alike. Visitors during the spring and summer can opt to dine on inside or on the patio, fit with mountain and lake views. For fall and winter visitors, the cafe converts into a grab-and-go only cafe. Regardless of when you visit, Natural Epicurean makes for the perfect stop along your walk around the stunning hotel property.

Food that’s tasty, convenient, sustainably sourced, and really, really good for you — Modern Market Eatery has it all. What started as a single location restaurant in Boulder, Colorado has grown to become a well-known, farm-to-table chain located in cities across the nation. The goal was to start a restaurant where healthy eating isn’t merely a chore, but something you look forward to each day. They describe their niche as an intersection between “the farmer’s market, a chef’s table and a fast food restaurant” — apparent in their chemical and antibiotic free menu, hand-kneaded dough, and convenient, fast-dining layout. The Colorado Springs branch is conveniently located in The Promenade Shops at Briargate.

4. Cafe Red Point

Not only are they providing healthy and sustainable food, but they are also passionate about offering the Colorado Springs’ community solutions regarding the exploitation of labor in retail settings. So whether you’re interested in the industrialization of the food industry or just want a delicious “power lunch,” be sure to stop in at Cafe Red Point!

They describe themselves as a “local neighborhood community meeting spot where people and dialogue meet in concord” — hoping to be a spot where friends, family, and strangers can gather and discuss the topics that matter the most. They value being social, sustainable, and rooted in community and are accomplishing this through making great food for all to enjoy. Their menu is totally vegan and features fun concoctions like cashew queso, vinegar cocktails, and Sloppy Joes.

7. Adam’s Mountain Cafe

Adam’s Mountain Cafe is a local favorite — filled with antique tables and chairs, artwork by a local, and some of the best food you’ll find in Colorado Springs. The cafe caters towards vegetarians, however, meat eaters will be sure to find something delicious to eat! If you’re in for breakfast, be sure to try their homemade Chai tea and the Huevos Rancheros, which have been voted “Best In the Springs” seven years in a row. For dinner, you’ll find seasonal and globally inspired dishes, alongside some good old comfort food, like mac and cheese.

At TILL, you’ll find the best of comfort and health food, all in one. Their carefully-crafted menu features artisan baked breads and pizzas, an extensive wine selection, and unique entrees like their Oak Roasted Game Hen, Cast Iron Meatloaf, and Vegan Mushroom Risotto, just to name a few. To the side of the restaurant, you’ll find The Roost, TILL’s attached casual cafe and market. Grab some local coffee and freshly baked breads and treats and browse the small market filled with healthy goodies for you to take home to the family.

While TILL is currently located on Powers Boulevard on the North end of town, the restaurant will be relocating to a new (TBD) location in the Broadmoor area and will be replaced with an open-air entertainment and dining operation (which will still include The Roost), fit with pickleball courts, shuffleboard, and other fun activities. Their menu includes breakfast and lunch as well as delicious baked goods and breads. They also sell allergy-safe baking mixes made with real, organic ingredients, so you can make yummy goodies at home!

They’re open from 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM and are serving up breakfast, lunch, and dinner!
