Case studies of creative corporate events in Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, and Castle Rock

Classic food tours are our jam, but we sometimes get requests to plan unique group or corporate events!

When it comes to creating memorable food and drink experiences, you might be surprised to learn that we do more than just food tours! While we love creating traditional food tour itineraries for our corporate groups, from time-to-time we’re also asked to create some unconventional (yet awesome!) food-inspired events. For those planning corporate events in Colorado Springs, we’d love to share a few ideas with you!

Below are several events to help get your creative juices flowing in case you are in need of a unique and high quality corporate or team building event that combines food, drink, networking, and a ton of fun!

Below are six case studies of successful corporate events in Colorado Springs and the surrounding area (that aren’t traditional food tours!):

Manitou Springs: Mineral Springs & Shopping Tour

Manitou Springs: Mineral Springs & Shopping Tour
Manitou Springs: Mineral Springs & Shopping Tour

Client: Northrop Grumman

Group Size: 12

Location: Manitou Springs

Brief: Create a short walking tour including springs tastings and custom shopping totes

Manitou Springs is a magical place all year round and the perfect place for a shorter yet impactful corporate event. Packed within a few short blocks are amazing boutiques, souvenir shops, art galleries, historic monuments and eateries. Not to mention the eight mineral springs you can drink from! The downtown core is easily walkable, making it the perfect place for a walking tour.

For this custom corporate event, we started at the Manitou Bath House and ended at the Cliff House. In between our leisure walk we wove amazing stories of history and culture that everyone loved. We also had some time to pop into a few stores for some shopping! In advance, we had custom totes bags made for each guest, which we will filled with taffy from Patsy’s Candy, a water bottle, and the official Manitou Springs visitor’s guide.

On-Site Multi-Sensory Dining Experience

On-Site Multi-Sensory Dining Experience

Client: Lincoln Financial

Group Size: 24

Location: The Broadmoor

Brief: Develop mind-bending mid-course tastings to enhance a private dining experience

If you have a larger budget and aim to impress, this unconventional corporate event was top-notch from start to finish! We worked closely with a chef at The Broadmoor Hotel to develop immersive and multi-sensory tastings and activities that complimented the menu in between and during courses. While we can’t “spill the beans” on all of the tastings we created, we can tell you that everyone was blown away and had a new appreciation for their five senses at the end!

This event kicked off with a fun “name that scent” game. Not only was it interactive, the winner was awarded a handsome prize. There was live guitarist, florals, and even custom menus. It was an exquisitely memorable night!

Trolley Tour of Historic Castle Rock

Client: Public Art Commission for the Town of Castle Rock

Group Size: 12

Location: Castle Rock

Brief: Explore the area’s historical sites from the comfort of a trolley (including snacks!)

Our owner, Samantha, calls Castle Rock home, so it was fun to put this unique trolley tour together for the Public Art Commission. We drove through the vibrant downtown area, though the historic neighborhoods, and even over to the famous Castle Rock itself. As we made our way around, Samantha shared about the town’s volcanic past, historic figures, local art and the best place to grab a bite to eat. Guests enjoyed cake pops from a local bakery while driving around in style!

Brief: Bring a traditional dinner to life with a theme, live band, custom menus, and more

Do you have a large group of 75 or more? We can help bring a traditional sit-down dinner to life by providing event planning services. For this event, we worked with the chef at the Garden of the Gods Resort & Club on a fun Mardi Gras theme. Guests were greeted with beads, masks, a lively jazz band and custom up-lighting. We created fun activities and mini tastings that enhanced the theme – plus we provided emcee services!

Everyone had a memorable evening filled with great entertainment and amazing food!
