In recent years, Colorado Springs has seen a lot of growth, and as the city has grown, so has its coffee scene. It seems like overnight the Springs became a mecca for trendy craft coffee shops, which make great places to work remotely.

While traditional office jobs fade into oblivion, the Colorado Springs’ bustling coffee scene is the perfect place for remote workers to inspire their creative genius.

There is only one issue — there are so many coffee shops to choose from! That’s why we’ve put together a list of our favorite places to work remotely in Colorado Springs.

1. Switchback Coffee Roasters

Nestled in a residential area of Colorado Springs’ Downtown, Switchback Coffee Roasters is the perfect neighborhood spot. Work with other freelancers at the large community table, hole up at the coveted cubby table, or grab a seat outside in the Colorado sunshine — whatever your preference, there’s a seat for you. Our favorite part? You can visit them in two different locations in Colorado Springs – Shooks Run and Hillside neighborhood. And for all you coffee snobs out there, their locally-roasted beans are award-winning!

2. Principal’s Office at Ivywild

Housed in the Ivywild School on the south-end of Colorado Springs, Principal’s Office serves drinks from “wake-up call to last call.” Start your day with one of Colorado Springs’ best lattes and end it with a craft cocktail made from fresh ingredients and house made syrups and tinctures. Ivywild School is also home to Bristol Brewery and Pub and Axe & The Oak Whiskey, so your workday will never get boring.

3. Loyal Coffee

Clean lines, modern textures, and dang good coffee — that’s Loyal Coffee! This barista-owned coffee shop has two locations in Colorado Springs. By day they serve coffee, kombucha, baked goods, and delicious toast topped with eclectic pairs of fruit, spreads, and unique garnishes. If you’re a night owl and prefer working over cocktails, Loyal’s got your back, too. Their goal is to foster community through coffee, and they are committed to giving their guests a “beautiful space to work, relax, and connect with others.”

4. Hold Fast Coffee Co.

Peak Place is centrally located off of Academy Boulevard, making it the perfect spot for remote workers who live farther from Downtown Colorado Springs. They roast their beans in their roastery, Hold Fast Coffee Co, “highlighting complex sweetness, full body and unique flavor compounds.” Coffee isn’t the only thing on their menu — grab an breakfast sandwich, local pastry, or a cheese plate. 5. Building Three Coffee

Building Three Coffee is located in The Lincoln Center, an old elementary school turned into a thoughtful collection of tenants including a coffee shop, bakery, pilates, barber and more. Building Three’s roastery is located right across the hall from the cafe. They source high quality beans and even take annual origin trips to personally meet their growers. With ample seating, plenty of great food options nearby, and the chillest playlist, Building Three Coffee is the perfect place to work remotely in Colorado Springs.

6. Wayfinder Coffee Co.

This one’s for all the freelancers on the north-side of Colorado Springs. Wayfinder Coffee Co. is serving craft coffee in hopes to “transport you to a favorite memory, help you indulge in a personal coffee ritual, or create a new experience inspired by our global perspective.” Their delicious baked goods and thoughtful travel-inspired decor make this the perfect spot to dream about your next trip. 7. Good Neighbors Meeting House

Tucked back in the historic Patty Jewett neighborhood of Downtown Colorado Springs, Good Neighbors Meeting House is just that — a meeting house for neighbors! Along with coffee from local roasters, they serve kombucha, tea, milkshakes, wine, beer, and cocktails. They also serve a variety of food items, but their claim to fame are sweet and savory waffles.
