Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 25, 2026
Colorado Springs Food Tours LLC, doing business as Rocky Mountain Food Tours ("RMFT," "we," "us," "our"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit rockymountainfoodtours.com or book a tour with us, how we use that information, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us directly. When you book a tour, contact us, or sign up for our email list, you may provide your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, payment information, dietary restrictions, party size, and any messages you send us.
Information collected automatically. When you browse our website we automatically receive information your browser sends, including your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, the pages you visit on our site, the time and date of your visit, and the page that referred you to us.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, measure how our site is used, and support our marketing. The specific services we use are:
- Google Analytics 4 — measures website traffic and visitor behavior so we can improve the site. Google may set cookies and process IP addresses (we have IP anonymization enabled).
- Drip — our email marketing platform; sets a cookie to attribute signups and recognize returning subscribers.
- FareHarbor — our booking partner; sets cookies during the checkout flow so your reservation completes correctly.
You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics or marketing cookies will not stop you from booking a tour.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process and fulfill your tour booking, including communicating with you about your reservation.
- Respond to inquiries you send us.
- Send you the marketing emails you've opted in to receive (you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email).
- Improve our website, services, and customer experience.
- Comply with our legal obligations and protect our rights.
4. Who we share information with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers who help us run the business — including our booking platform (FareHarbor), email platform (Drip), analytics provider (Google), hosting provider (Vercel), and content platform (Sanity). These providers are contractually bound to use your information only on our behalf.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or other valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of RMFT, our guests, or others.
We do not use your information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly share personal information of California residents with third parties for those parties' own marketing purposes.
5. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use it.
- Right to access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to delete personal information we have collected, subject to certain legal exceptions.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing of your personal information — we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
To make a request, email us at info@rockymountainfoodtours.com. We will verify your identity using information we already have on file before responding, and will respond within the time period required by applicable law (typically 45 days under California law).
6. Data retention
We keep your personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy or to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Booking records are typically retained for seven years; marketing email subscribers are retained until they unsubscribe.
7. Children's privacy
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please email info@rockymountainfoodtours.com and we will delete it.
8. Third-party links
Our site may link to third-party websites we do not control. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please review their privacy policies before sharing personal information with them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective date" above and post the revised policy on this page. Material changes will also be communicated by email to active subscribers when reasonable.
10. Contact us
