It’s November, time to start planning your holiday party! Whether you’re in charge of planning your corporate event or just a festive get-together with close friends and family, there are a lot of great holiday party venues to choose from that accommodate small to large groups. And of course, every place we recommend is locally owned and operated right here in Colorado Springs.

For each venue below, we’ve included room capacity, indication on whether or not to expect a room rental fee, and tips on how to order catering for larger groups.

For those who’d rather try something different this winter season, book a private food tour with us! Impress your colleagues and friends with your knowledge of the most unique way to dine local. Everyone will have a blast with our fun-loving tour guides while they sip and stroll through the streets of downtown Colorado Springs. The Blue Star

Put on your fancy holiday dress, because we’re going out! If you want a more formal dining experience, try The Blue Star, a dimly lit cosmopolitan restaurant located just south of downtown Colorado Springs. Their extensive cocktail and wine list is just the beginning of what will surely be an unforgettable night of revelry, merriment, and of course delectable food. There are three special dining spaces for groups:

  • Wine Cellar (cap. 22)
  • West Dining Room (cap. 30)
  • East Dining Room (cap. 58)

You will have a unique opportunity to customize your four-course meal prior to the evening in order to highlight seasonal ingredients. For an extra doze of elegance, request that their staff develop individual wine pairings for each course. At The Blue Star, you won’t have to pay a room rental fee; however, a food and beverage minimum will apply.

Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum

Take a walk through Colorado Springs’ past at the historic midcentury El Paso Country courthouse turned museum in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs. The grand foyer features large columns, an ornate staircase, and an original 1913 Otis Birdcage elevator (that still works!). The Pioneers Museum has several rooms that accommodate groups including:

  • Henderson Room (cap. 40)
  • Main Lobby (cap. 200)
  • Entire Museum, 2 Floors (300+)

There is a rental fee associated with each location, but you get your choice of caterer. Providing great ambiance for a roaring 20’s themed soiree, the Pioneer’s Museum is a classic and vintage event space that is easily customizable to your group. Discounts are available for non-profits and museum members.

Ghost Town Museum

Get off the beaten path and try something unexpected this holiday season! Easily visible from Highway 24, the Ghost Town Museum offers an authentic western experience complete with a blacksmith’s shop, general mercantile, livery stable, and Victorian home circa late 1800’s. Your cowboy-themed holiday party will take place on Main Street with access to a fully operational saloon and dance floor. Your partygoers will have a memorable evening as they get a real glimpse into what life was like for pioneers and gold miners over 100 years ago. Since the Ghost Town Museum is a venue only, you’ll have your choice of caterer and beverage service.

Sonterra Grill

Garden-fresh ingredients and a rotating seasonal menu characterize this warm and modern restaurant in the central business district of downtown Colorado Springs. Their menu features innovative American Southwestern cuisine and local produce and meat from Colorado distributors including: Ranch Foods Direct, Mauro Brothers Farm, Arkansas Valley Organic Growers, Red Bird Farms, and Colorado Tortilla Company. There are three potential locations for your wintery celebration:

  • The Loft (cap. 25)
  • The Aspen Room (cap. 35)
  • The Lounge (cap. 70)

The Aspen Room, which is inside the restaurant itself, is very cozy with a fireplace. The Lounge serves up the best party atmosphere with leather couches, two pool tables, a 52” plasma television, and a full bar. No room fee, though a minimum food and beverage order will apply.

Colorado Springs City Auditorium

Max Capacity: 2,000+ | Feel: Momentous

Completed in 1923 to support the growing cultural and social ambitions of the city, The City Auditorium can accommodate 2,655 people (10% of the population at the time!). Today, this large venue is host to concerts, festivals, exhibitions, plays, and sporting events. For large functions, the main arena space is also available for private functions including holiday parties. For a more intimate experience, the Lon Chaney Theatre seats roughly 225 people and is the perfect venue for shows, lectures, dramas, and films. Throw your holiday party at the City Auditorium if you have a super large group or need space and equipment for special entertainment. Room fees do apply, but you have your choice of caterer.

Rocky Mountain Food Tours

Downtown Colorado Springs

Max Capacity: 14 | Feel: Fun

We might be biased, but taking a food tour (even if you’re a local), is one of the most fun and unique things to do in Colorado Springs! If you have a small group that likes to support small businesses, dine local, and have a good time, a food tour in downtown might be the right choice for your holiday party. During our three-hour walking excursions, we visit five culinary destinations within a short walking distance of less than one mile. Our professional tour guides will keep things upbeat and moving – no need for you to plan anything or lift a finger! Contact us today about private tours occurring Saturday from 2-5pm, Sundays from 1-4pm, or during a weekday. Ticket prices include food, non-alcoholic beverages, and restaurant gratuity. Upgrade your tickets to include three sample alcohol pairings for increased merriment.

Jack Quinn’s Irish Pub

Guinness and fish and chips are staples at this genuine Irish pub that opened its doors on St. Patrick’s Day in 1998. In addition to the charming character of the dark wood bar, imported stained glass, and traditional “snugs” (because, as you know, ladies can’t be seen drinking in public!), Jack Quinn’s is the perfect place to raise a pint and toast to friends and health. The restaurant is also located in one of the oldest buildings in downtown predating 1883. Stairs just inside the entrance will lead you up to Jack’s Attic, a large room available for your private holiday party that has beautiful exposed brick and is equipped with a full bar. Sláinte!

Till Kitchen

A wonderful new addition to the north side of town, Till Kitchen is a rustic and modern restaurant offering a menu bursting with flavor and fresh ingredients. Peruse their marketplace offering local goods from merchants such as Switchback Coffee Roasters and The Real Dill. Their two private meeting spaces, the West Room and the East Room, can be kept separate for intimate parties or combined for a larger wintertime celebration. A room rental fee applies as well as a minimum per person lunch or dinner price. Their food is served family style, and there’s a lot to go around!

Warehouse Restaurant

The Warehouse Restaurant is a long-time resident of downtown Colorado Springs just off the I-25 and Cimarron exit. Their expansive menu features a variety of American fare and Colorado favorites including elk, trout, and pheasant, all prepared by their expert chef. Private events are reserved for The Gallery room, which is distinguished by its rustic wood floors, exposed brick, and collection of bright and evocative art pieces strewn throughout. The room is equipped with its own bar and a built in stage that is prefect for an end-of-year awards ceremony. The Wine Room, located off the main dining room, can be reserved for smaller soirees up to 22 people. Room fees apply and catering menus are available.
